Forbes trainer Barry Molloy with his improving galloper Caszar recorded an upset win over the short odds favourite Potent Force at the Wellington TAB meeting on Monday.

Potent Force had followed a stylish win at Mudgee with a good second to the highly rated imported galloper Goldstream in the Wellington Cup and a fifth in the Provincial Cup at Wyong.
Dropping sharply in grade to a Class 2 Plate over 1400 metres at Wellington,Potent Force was regarded by both bookmakers and punters as very likely to win and started at the prohibitive odds of $1.35.
Ridden by Greg Ryan, Caszar settled midfield on the rails before being eased around the leaders to challenge Potent Force in the straight.
In a tough battle to the line, Caszar ($5) carrying the equal top weight (59kgs) finished the better to beat Potent Force (Mathew Cahill, $1.35 favourite) by a short head with Petain (Tony Cavallo, $11) a half length away, third.
Winner of three of the last four starts, Caszar, a lightly raced 6 year old gelding, has the overall record of 3 wins and four placings from 12 starts.
Caszar is raced by Bernie Kearins from West Wyalong and the estate of John Glasgow from Tullibigeal.
Earlier in the day at Wellington, the Barry Molloy trained Casino Ace (Kacie Chater) started a $41 outsider when a close third to Red Russian (Daniel Northey, $6) and Kaera Jaani (Greg Ryan, $2.80 favourite) in the (900 metres) Darby Racing Maiden Handicap.
