It's National Volunteer Week and when thinking of local volunteers, who can go past the faithful fundraisers of the Sunshine Club Op Shop?
The Sunshine Club was founded in May, 1939 and raises funds for the Royal Far West Children's Charity. The Royal Far West was formed to connect country kids to healthcare.
Forbes' Sunshine Club volunteers have recently celebrated the community organisation's 80th birthday.
Since being founded, the Sunshine Club has grown to have 300 members.
President Molly Neilsen said the Sunshine Club raises funds for the Royal Far West through the Op Shop, donations and money made from raffles and bingo events.
The Op Shop first started in a little room in the back of the Albion Hotel. From there it moved down to where the Forbes Inn is, before moving to where where they are now (Templar Street).
The Op Shop is currently staffed by a roster of 17 volunteers throughout the week, though they wouldn't say no to extra help if people wanted to volunteer.
Mrs Neilsen said even if people could only volunteer a couple of hours it would be appreciated.
To become a member of the Sunshine Club, or volunteer, head down to the Op Shop and speak to the volunteers there. It costs 20 cents to become a member of the Sunshine Club.
Winter clothing is currently on display and the volunteers thank all those who donate items to sell.
You can also support the Sunshine Club at their charity cash bingo, at Forbes Services Memorial Club on a Saturday afternoon. Starting time is 2:30pm.
The Eugowra ladies have their bingo afternoon on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at the Eugowra Bowling Club. Starting time is 1pm.
