Officers attached to the Traffic and Highway Patrol Command say the vehicle was pulled over for a compliance check.

"About 12.20pm on Monday, May 27, 2019, a heavy vehicle was stopped at Daroobalgie HVSS on the Newell Highway for a compliance check," officers said in a statement.
"Police from the Central West Highway Patrol and RMS [Roads and Maritime Services] inspectors observed a bulge on both sides of the A trailer.

"This was measured and found to be in excess of the allowable width."
During the checks, the truckie's work diary was inspected and he was found to have exceeded his work hours.
As a result, the driver was directed not to drive for seven hours and reduce the width of his load.
He was issued a summons to court for fatigue breaches and infringements for a number of other fatigue offences.
