He's an Oberon Tigers 300-gamer with a countless amount of tries next to his name and a highlights reel longer than a Lord of the Rings epic.
In 2019 Booth is again donning the black and gold but this year it's as a Colt, and the Portland captain-coach will take his affinity with the mid west premiership a touch further this weekend when he coaches the competition's rep side.
The New Era Cup open team will clash with an under 23s side from the Woodbridge Cup at Cargo on Saturday.
Booth is one of five Portland players in the side, with all four clubs represented in the outfit.
Barbarians guns Ed Morrish, Cody Jarman, Mitchell Britt, Ben Gosper and Jarrod Donlan are also in the side while CSU star Billy Dickinson is joined by students Sam Groom, Blake Schaefer and Callum Flanagan in the 17-man team.
Last year the mid-west competition played an all star game dividing the competition up into east and west sides but with both Kandos and premiers Blackheath folding ahead of 2019 that concept would prove difficult with just four clubs.
"With that in mind it's good to see this rep side get formed and be able to play because it gives the boys something to look forward to, something to aspire to," Booth said.
"We play the Woodbridge Cup and they've got 10 teams to pick from compared to our four, so they'll obviously be a very, very strong side.
"A lot of the guys we've picked may not get the chance to play first grade footy elsewhere and probably not rep footy either so it's a good opportunity for them to represent at the higher level, I'm sure they'll learn from it and take that back to their clubs.
"There's a lot of good players in this competition, you know, they're not mugs and the side we've put together has a lot of talent."
The two competitions will also square off in a league tag rep game, kicking off the day at 1.40pm at Cargo Oval.
... there's some experience in the pack as well and a few young guys too, it should be good, a bit of fun.
- New Era Cup rep coach Dallas Booth.
In the main game, Woodbridge Cup has named a strong line-up including Molong brothers Kade and Jye Barrow, the latter skippering the line-up. Both were part of Bathurst Panthers' premiership winning side in Group 10 in 2018.
Booth, though, says his side's halves hold the key.
"You've got guys like Billy Dickinson from CSU (Bathurst) and then Mitch (Britt) from Barbarians as well, there's some experience in the pack as well and a few young guys too, it should be good, a bit of fun," he added.
The open game kicks off at 3pm.
