Donations from students and staff have been collected over a couple of weeks, and have now been delivered to the St John's Anglican Church.
Pantry volunteer, Sue Jolliffe said both the community response to and support for the Pantry had been wonderful.
Since the Pantry was birthed with a bequest from the late Nell Prow, donations have come in from near and far, and families affected by the lengthening drought have come in to stock their pantry.
Nell's Pantry for Farmers officially opened on May 21, and is open to farmers every Tuesday from 1pm to 3:30pm during term times, it will be closed during school holidays.
Farmers can fill two reusable shopping bags per visit with the items they need.
The volunteers assure everyone that assistance through Nell's Pantry is private and confidential. They have no forms or joining fee, all they ask is for the farmer's name and property name.
Locals who would like to donate items - such as non-perishable foods or cleaning products - for the Pantry they can bring them down to the church office from Tuesday to Friday between 9am and 1pm.
The Advocate has also had contact from people out of this area who would like to donate, please phone St John's Anglican Church on 02 6851 1544 or email angfbs@westserv.net.au
