In the lead-up to Saturday's Blowes Clothing Cup clash with Forbes, Dubbo Kangaroos captain Shaun McHugh felt it was a meeting between two sides in similar situations.

The teams had somewhat underachieved early in the season, largely due to the inability to field the same side each week.
Both sides were again missing some troops on Saturday but the Roos got things to click during a 27-20 victory, just their second win of the season.
That saw the Roos leapfrog Forbes into fourth spot on the ladder and Platypi captain-coach Jack Hammond admitted his side still needs to gel more before it can climb back up the ladder.
"We're very inconsistent," Hammond said post-game.
"We're finding it hard to put the same people on the field each week with injuries and people away.
"If we had a consistent team we could start building, but it's hard each week with so many changes."

Hammond could also similarities with the Roos in regards to that battle for consistency, but he confessed it was the hosts who coped better in Saturday's game.
"It was going to go right down to the wire," he said after Forbes led 10-7 at half-time.
"We made little mistakes and let them back into the game. But credit to them, they came home very strong."
Hammond has been among those who's suffered because of the changes this season, bouncing between flyhalf and inside centre, while there's been ongoing changes in the front row most weeks.
As well as that, the side's rhythm has been stunted by a niggling knee injury to star scrumhalf Mahe Fangupo which has seen him sidelined at times.
Despite the seemingly constant changes, Hammond was hopeful the coming weeks will see the bulk of his players return and be available for the rest of the campaign.
The Platypi meet winless Orange City after the long weekend bye.
