Emergency services were alerted to the fire when the vehicle was well alight, with Rural Fire Services Brigades attending to prevent the blaze spreading.
Police said the vehicle was reported stolen from a Quarry Road address.
They are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fire.
Police are also investigating a break and enter that led to the theft of a vehicle on Friday night.
A Holloway Street residence was broken into, a car key and subsequently the vehicle stolen.
Police forensics are to examine the home, the vehicle had not been recovered at time of going to press.
It appears tobacco was the only thing stolen in another break-in, at a Rankin Street business premises. Police forensics are also to examine that scene.
