Earlier this week forecasters had predicted a cold front and the possibility of snow on Friday and Saturday.
The coldest spot to be last night was in Lithgow where the mercury plummeted to a very chilly minus 5.8 degrees, Mudgee was not far behind at -5.1 and Orange at -5.0.
On the warmer side of things Dubbo had the hottest minimum temperature, but even still the mercury dropped to -0.2 degrees overnight.

- Bathurst -4.4
- Cowra -0.5
- Dubbo -0.2
- Forbes -4.0
- Lithgow -5.8
- Mudgee -5.1
- Orange -5.0
- Parkes -3.5
- Young -1.7
Temperatures are predicted to stay quite cold the next few days with overnight lows of minus four degrees in some locations.
