William won the Western NSW School Based Apprentice and Trainee Category at the gala dinner held in Orange on June 14, 2019.
Employed as a School Based Apprentice completing Certificate III Furnishing - Cabinet Making (Furniture) and Will is working for Tim Witherow Joinery in Parkes while also completing Year 12 at Red Bend Catholic College in Forbes.
Undertaking a School Based Apprenticeship and working one day per week while undergoing a HSC is a big task for a young person to undertake, but one that Will takes in his stride and is excelling in his trade.
Will credited his employer, TIm Witherow for giving him a chance to undertake this apprenticeship and also thanked his Careers Advisor, Janice Little from Red Bend for assisting him.
Will now travels to Sydney to interview for State Level of the NSW Training Awards which is held in September at Town Hall Sydney.
