Representative players Mahe Fangupo and Charlie French are making a return to bolster the Platypi's ranks for this weekend's must-win game.
Platypi coach mentor Phil Prior said the first grade side's intensity has picked up since their win over Orange City - and it needs to if the first grade side is to continue its 2019 campaign.
Along with winning this Saturday's game against Dubbo, the Platypi have to win with a bonus point and prevent Dubbo from doing the same.
Prior said this weekend is a chance for the Platypi to control their own destiny to get into the finals, relying on their own results to gain a finals berth rather than hoping other results go their way.
And they're calling on their supporters to come on down to Grinsted Oval on Saturday and back them all the way.
Forbes Rugby Union President Rhys Woods says it will be a pretty big day of rugby with all of the grades playing at Grinsted.
Forbes' new women's rugby side have secured a spot in the finals in their debut season, but Prior says they are looking to cement their position with a win in the final round of the general season.
Currently the women's squad are sitting in sixth place, they're going up against the fifth-placed CSU.
It's the first time the teams have met, and Woods believes this will be a game to watch.
Last weekend, the women had a 104-point win over Orange City.
Saturday is the final run-out for the reserve grade side, known locally as the wolf pack, and Prior is hoping they'll secure a win and finish 2019 on a high.
This Saturday Forbes Rugby Union Club will also be hosting their charity day which will be raising money for a local charity organisation, the Peter Murphy Fund.
Among the items the Forbes Rugby Union Club will be auctioning off upstairs in the clubhouse after the day's games are the jerseys worn by the first grade and the women's 10s.
The Peter Murphy Fund was named after the former Rugby Club President and aims to support locals in need get involved in any sport.
