The childcare centre was presented with a cheque for $2500 after the close of voting in the funding program.
Shoppers were asked to vote to help the supermarket prioritise its donations, with $25,000 shared across organisations through Forbes, Bathurst, West Wyalong, Blayney and Wagga.
In Forbes in Round 1, the Jenny Murphy Park project received $1500 towards playground equipment and Red Bend Junior Rugby League received $1000 towards training equipment.
All three recipients expressed their appreciation to Bernardi's for the support.
Another round has now opened and Bernardi's customers are urged to collect their tokens and cast their vote.
They are:
- Forbes Platypi Juniors, for training and development for players;
- St Laurence's school to help install a new, inclusive, playground incorporating imaginative play, sensory gym and physical fitness components;
- Forbes Fins swimming club for new equipment and resources to keep up with the club's rapid growth.
