It is so lovely to hear from locals who have run or walked the City2Surf, with some people making it a regular thing.
A big thanks to everyone who has supported this undertaking! I was running for Landcare NSW who I support as a volunteer executive member.
I am fortunate to see the amazing progress that they have made over the past ten years and pleased to be able to promote this work through my run.
I am not traditionally a runner, so encourage you to give it a go if you have thought about it and just not taken the step....go for it!
We are heading to the Shows! Landcare will have a stand at the Parkes and Forbes Shows. Make sure that you drop in and say hi!
Forbes Show will be held on 6 and 7 September. I am looking forward to being in the Industrial Pavilion.
I will have information on our Tree Project that is possible with Funding through ARTC and Landcare Australia. This project is specifically targeted at landholder members.
I have had many requests over the past 12 months for farm trees. If you have a system set up to support the survival of some trees, then I would love to hear from you. I will have expressions of interest at the Show.
I am also keen to speak about our upcoming workshops at the Central West Livestock Exchange on 25 and 26 October as part of our Focus on Ferals, with funding from the Department of Primary Industries and Landcare NSW through funding received from the Established Pest Animals and Weeds Initiative, part of the Australian Government's Agricultural Competitiveness White Paper.
Until next week, happy Landcaring.
