The Forbes Town and District Tennis Club's charity fun day resulted in a big win for Forbes District Hospital with the day raising $3750.

The charity day was hosted on Sunday, August 4 to celebrate three newly resurfaced tennis courts.

Along with the $3750 raised by the Town and District Tennis Club's charity fun day, the Forbes Hockey Club donated $100 to the hospital.

Local coach Peter Clifton said the day was bigger than they thought it was going to be and they wanted to thank Evolution Mining for helping to cover the costs of running the day.

Liz Mitchell, Health Service Manager, Forbes, said it was an enormous amount raised by the community and that they wanted to thank those who turned up to the day and supported the hospital.
