In recent seasons alone, think the likes of Kotoni Staggs, Luke Gale, Charlie Staines, and Matt Burton.
On Saturday at Kennard Park it was Campbell Woolnough who reinforced his status as one of the most exciting young players in the region.
The Forbes Magpies hooker scored three tries in his side's convincing qualifying semi-final win over the Wellington Cowboys.
In a heated contest which featured plenty of scuffles but never completely boiled over, the Magpies trailed 12-10 late in the first half before crossing just before the break and then turning on the style in the second half to run out 34-16 victors.
Woolnough scored two of his three tries in the second half, both when darting from dummyhalf and catching the Cowboys napping.
"I love it. The first thing I always look for is the run," he said after the win.
"I play my game but the forward pack helps a lot and if it wasn't for them I wouldn't be able to do my job."

The forwards did produce a might effort on Saturday, with both Jack Hartwig and Thomas Phillips scoring in the strong victory.
The Magpies didn't have it all their own way in the contest though as the Cowboys' aggression and ball movement ruffled the Magpies' feathers in the opening half.
With halfback Rylee Blackhall pulling the strings the strings the Cowboys started the better and a stunning 70m individual effort from Brodie Ford and then a penalty from the number seven had the hosts up by two just minutes before the half-time break.
But a barnstorming run from powerhouse second-rower Hartwig right on the half-time siren got the Magpies back in front, and that was where the defending premiers stayed.
"We started slow and didn't have enough energy but we got back to what we did at training and got the energy up and we were able to roll over them in the second half," Woolnough said.
"We started to get into their game but we got back to what we did at training."
The Magpies will now meet minor premiers Dubbo CYMS in next weekend's major semi-final, a repeat of last season's decider.
For Wellington, a sudden death minor semi-final clash with the Parkes Spacemen now awaits.
