Excitement builds as our local show to be held Friday and Saturday September 13 and 14 draws near.
With all the old favourites and many new attractions, the newly elected President of the Eugowra Show Society Sean Haynes promises there will be something for everyone of all ages to enjoy.
Old Kentucky Farm Animal Nursery is a new attraction for the children along with face painting and children's races.
The recycled ART competition is a feature this year with Lawn Mower Racing added to the Ute and Bike Barrel races.
There will be two classes for the mowers with non-modified and modified. Registration with the Secretary before the racing starts required.
The Ute Show & Shine is back again with categories for Street Ute, BnS Ute, Chicks Ute, Feral Ute, 4x4 Ute, Classic Ute and Grand Champion and also a division for Best Ford, Best Holden and other Ute.
The very popular dog high jump is on again with prizes for best in small, medium and open sections.
On Saturday the Yard Dog Trials start at 7-30am, the Show Jumping and Ring events at 9am and the judging of Poultry, Cattle, Sheep and Junior Judging.
This is followed by the Ute Show and Shine and the Australian Draught Horse Log Snig Contest and the Barrel Races.
The Forbes Town and District Band will perform before the Push Lawn Mower competition.
Entries for Miss Tiny Tot, Master Stockman, Miss Teenager, Junior Showgirl, and Junior Jackaroo can be made outside the Secretaries office with the judging to take place at 1pm.
Entries for Eugowra Showgirl can be made with Janet Moxey on 0418 962 008 before Thursday 12th. The winner will be announced during the official opening at 2-30pm. This will be followed by the Grand Parade, the afternoon bar entertainment by Luke Harveyson and the heats of the Arm Wrestling.
The evening entertainment has the Demolition Derby, the Fireworks and the final of the Arm Wrestling. Entries for the Demolition Derby close on Friday 13th and entries can be made with Kevin Townsend.
There will be bar facilities available all day and numerous outlets for the purchase of varied and delicious food and beverages.
Mr Haynes said there will be many new and interesting traders at this year's show. He especially wishes to thank the hard working committee members who have worked tirelessly to have the grounds and facilities in tip top order for the event.

The Show Office is open Monday to Wednesday 10am to 3pm, Thursday and Friday 8am to 6pm and Saturday 8am to 6-30pm.
