Red Bend Junior Rugby League Club's 16s have qualified for the Lachlan grand final, and fans can expect a very competitive game to cap off a great season.
Finishing the regular season as minor premiers, Red Bend was first to qualify for the grand final in their major semi against Parkes.
The game went down to the dying stages, Red Bend gaining the advantage in the final two-and-a-half minutes.
Now Parkes has gone on to qualify as well, setting up a rematch at Manildra this Saturday afternoon.
"We've had some good, close games, and this will be pretty much the same," Red Bend coach Jason Leadbitter predicts.
Red Bend's squad features a solid core of the players that claimed the 2018 Lachlan premiership.
Leadbitter says their experience and leadership capacity, along with a strong attacking league game, are amongst the blues' strengths.
They'll also need their defence to be spot on, but they've been working on it all at training and the coach looks forward to seeing it all "click" this Saturday. Go blues!
