AirVenture Australia's event Director David Young said that he was thrilled with the response they have received so far.
"We almost at capacity with a record number of sponsors and exhibitors getting behind this year's show," he said.
"We will be hosting over 60 educational events and within excess of 60 exhibitors and food vendors. "
This year's event sees the addition of a comprehensive youth aviation engagement program, the first of its kind in regional Australia.
The program encompasses an Australian first where a group of 25 School Students from across the Central West and Australia will come together as a team and built a BushCat aircraft from a kit.
"Remarkably, the aircraft will be built inside of seven days and will take its maiden flight at the airshow on Sunday," Mr Young said.
"If the quality of the applications we received is any indication of the next generation of aviation in Australia, the industry will be in good hands".
AirVenture will also feature a separate but extensive day long Aviation Careers and STEM engagement program.
The program will feature six, hour long programs where students attending will select four to complete.
With activities ranging from airfoil construction to software coding through to Aerodynamics, students attending will benefit from a broad exposure to industry occupations and concepts.
The program will have access to a full motion flight simulator to give aspiring pilots the opportunity to experience simulated flight.
"We expect that in excess of 150 year 8 to 12 students from the Central West New South Wales region will attend and participate in the passport program," Mr. Young said.
The event will feature a trade exposition, educational seminars and careers program.
One lucky visitor to the event who purchases their ticket on-line will go into the draw to win a BushCat aircraft worth $100,000.
