The Forbes Riverside Community Garden has launched its 2019 annual competitions and entry forms with all the competition details are now available.

The competitions are:
- Best vegetable garden - a vegetable garden located within the 80km speed zone of the town of Forbes and Forbes Shire villages. Entries close Thursday November 8.
- Best Scarecrow - judged by popular vote on the morning of 16th November 16. Entries close on Thursday November 14.
The winners of both competitions will be announced on Saturday November 16 at the Community Garden Open Day at 2pm.
Come along during the morning to vote for the Best Scarecrow in each category as the winners are awarded by popular vote on the day.
There will be stalls with various products for sale including plants and vegies from the community garden.
Also available, for a small price, will be morning tea, cold drinks and a sausage sizzle.
Entrants in the vegetable competition will need to be home on a pre-arranged date and time to make their garden available for the judges to visit.

Entry forms are available on the Forbes Shire Council website, at the Community Garden in Reymond Street between the hours of 9am and 11am Monday to Saturday, or by emailing forbescommunitygarden@outlook.com.
Entry is free and there are great prizes to be won.
