Often the first call is to the ambulance, who are quick and efficient.
Two officers come to the house, providing transport for the patient who can't even get out of his armchair.
Emergency services at the hospital continue the first quality care so the patient, myself of course, is able to go home next morning.
Some of the staff have many years experience.
I met two who had nursed my late wife 15 years ago, so if you need medical help don't hesitate.
Yours faithfully, John Scott.
Business barbecue
This is a personal invitation to all Forbes businesses to a free barbecue from 12 noon until 2.30pm on Saturday November 16, in the Anglican Church yard Court Street (over the road from Town Hall).
The drought has been a bit tough on our businesses so we just want to say thank you to encourage and support you.
The men's shed blokes are coming to help with the cooking (they are good at that).
Please phone the Anglican Parish office to RSVP so we buy enough sausages etc. thank you - 68 511544.
This is a friendly barbeque, there will be no Bible bashing, all denominations welcome. Come and join us!
Dianne Decker on behalf of the Anglican Parish Council
