"Two country boys hoping to show the world that inland Australia actually fishes good in a drought."
That's how Rob Paxevanos introduces a new film that has its world premiere in Forbes this Friday night.
The Fishing Australia identity has been on an incredible journey with local filmmaker Andrew Barnes over the past year.
And they can't wait to show us what they've caught when they unveil Total Native II on the big screen in Forbes.
The filmmakers have travelled all over Australia seeking the Murray Cod and Golden Perch - and they promise the results are exciting.
"It's epic for a fishing production," Barnes, director and cinematographer, said.
"I'm pretty excited for people to see it.
"We've filmed stuff that people haven't seen before."
Total Native II holds plenty of local interest: the team spent plenty of time fishing Wyangala and the Lachlan River around Cowra and Forbes and Barnes thanked Forbes' Jamie Loomes for his expertise.
Barnes hopes Total Native II will inspire people to throw a line in and draw visitors to the regions.
"I grew up on the Lachlan at Eugowra and fished all my life," Barnes said.
"But it's completely different now, with catch-and-release, and native fish stocking.
"It's a massive tourism opportunity," he added.
One of the most exciting moments for Barnes as director and cinematographer came at Inverell, capturing the moment a fish mouths the lure flicking across the surface of the water.
But even for those who aren't especially fishing enthusiasts, the film features both underwater and breathtaking aerial footage of Australia's incredible landscapes.
It also has a big focus on sustainability, showing the safe release of each fish.
Total Native II Fishing will premiere with a free outdoor screening at Lions Park, Lake Forbes, from 7pm Friday.
Barnes can't think of any better way to launch the film's tour and thanked Forbes Shire Council for their support of the event.
Total Native II will become available from that time, go online to totalnative.com to find out more.
