On behalf of Friends of Forbes Hospital Auxiliary, treasurer Gloria Haley and President Wilma Hepburn would like to say thank you to the Forbes community and various organisations for their ongoing support and donations to go towards medical equipment required at the Forbes Hospital.

The local auxiliary has been recognised for raising the highest funds of any organisation of its type with 10 or fewer members in the 2018-19 financial year.

A trophy was presented to the members at their December meeting and Christmas lunch at the Forbes Services Memorial Club.

Friends of Forbes Hospital raise funds throughout the year, with two of their major efforts raffles for Mother's Day and Christmas.

They are also generously supported by local fundraising efforts.

Forbes and District Lions were in attendance at the Christmas lunch to present the proceeds of their most recent car boot sale to the auxiliary.

The Lions host four of the sales every year and the site fees from each are donated to a local community group.
