Forbes hosted Condobolin and West Wyalong for back-to-back T20 games at Botanical Gardens last Sunday and our locals performed exceptionally well in hot conditions.
In the morning game against Condobolin, Tom Glasson (36) and Joe Nicholson (16) led the home team to 89 off their 20 overs in the morning game.
Nicholson (2/15) and Marcus Hardy (2/16) then led the charge to bowl the visitors out for 85 runs.
The squad backed up to play West Wyalong in the afternoon and slammed 179 runs off their 20 overs.
Top scorers were Nicholson and George Field who both made 26, Thompson Hurford with 23.
Forbes 12s then again delivered some tight bowling to end the day with West Wyalong on 58 runs.
Nicholson claimed two wickets without having a run scored against him in the afternoon clash and Cayden Metzeling claimed 3/15.
In other games held as part of the round Cowra also defeated West Wyalong but lost to Condobolin.
Forbes' representative 14s hosted a West Wyalong / Condobolin team at South Circle on the same day and were narrowly defeated in a cracking game of cricket.
The visitors went out to bat first and were 6/152 at the end of their 40-over innings, led by Harry Roscarel with a top score of 68.
Forbes did have some impressive bowling by James Burton (2/25), Joe Ellison (1/20) and Riley Goodsell (1/16).
The hosts went out to chase the runs in hot afternoon conditions and came tantalisingly close to the total.
A 30 from Jonah Little, 27 from Bradman Hardy and 26 from Joe Ellison set Forbes well on the way.
But with some excellent bowling by Hugh Williams (3/26) and Ryan Goodsell (2/15) Forbes was all bowled out for 143.
Junior cricket is now in recess until the new year - the results of the final round of local competition will appear in Tuesday's edition.
Our next junior representative games are in Cowra on February 2.
