Approximately 80 people gathered in Parkes' Lions Park to share a special evening together.
Their ceremony included lighting candles, listened to readings and music and sharing memories of their children.
The Christmas tree adorned with photos of their children held pride of place.
The theme this year was 'Stars' based on the idea that 'our children are like stars in the daytime... they are still there but we can't see them at the moment.'
Our children are like stars in the daytime... they are still there but we can't see them at the moment
Families travelled from Blayney, Orange, Sydney, Canowindra and Forbes to join with local families.
Christmas is a very difficult time for bereaved families and gathering together to share their love, to support each other, and embrace their children helps to ease the sadness.
