The evening marked 50 years of the local festive event, and organisers from Forbes Town and District Band are delighted with how it all came together.
Janelle Toole said the atmosphere in the park was wonderful and the crowd came out early to enjoy the activities and food on offer.
Plenty of children took the opportunity to whisper their Christmas wishes to Santa and the special guest in red stayed for the rest of the evening to join the carolling.
Pre-carols entertainment was enjoyed by all and the night's MC Judy Prior, spectacularly dressed as a Christmas tree, was brilliant.
Local performers led the night's carols beautifully and the community was in good voice too.
Carols 2019 was moved a week closer to Christmas as well as to a Saturday and Mrs Toole said organisers felt it had been good, even if numbers were slightly down due to other events.
"It was such a lovely atmosphere and I am still getting good feedback," she said.
"As a committee we are really, really happy."
