Local business, Life Pharmacy donated $375 to the local charity after recently mentoring a pharmacy student.
Pharmacist in Charge Jack Buckley said they thought to donate money to Can Assist because there are a lot of people in the local community who have been diagnosed with cancer.
The Forbes Flatlands Cyclo Sportif donated $1000 to Can Assist from funds raised at this year's event.
Terry Cuskelly, from the Cyclo Sportif, said they wanted to donate to Can Assist as they put the money directly into helping local people who are battling cancer.
Forbes Can Assist's John Schrader said they depend entirely on the goodwill of the Forbes people and the community is very generous in supporting them.
Can Assist helps with the cost of travel, accommodation and medication for people undergoing cancer treatment.
Mr Shrader said if you need need help while undergoing cancer treatment to get in touch with a member of Can Assist.
The Forbes Flatlands Cyclo Sportif is set to make a return on May 17.
