It's been the summer of dust storms, but last Friday night's had to be one of the worst.
Winds of up to 78km/hr were recorded at Forbes Airport, gusting from the South to South West with the peak recorded just before 9pm.
The afternoon had reached a scorching 44.1 degrees before the southerly change blew in, unfortunately not bringing any meaningful rain with it.
There were plenty of us tackling the clean up on Saturday, but Ken and Dianne Howarth brought us some photos of just what a big impact the storm had.
The couple live on Iona Lane, off Marsden Road, and say visibility was down to five metres or so when they ventured out on Friday night as the winds picked up.
On Saturday morning, they found dust piled up to more than a foot deep against fences and water troughs and lying in a thick layer across areas of paddocks.
Here's hoping the much talked about forecast of wet weather to come over the next week is correct!
