Bowlers from across a newly-expanded district competition, incorporating Forbes, Parkes, Cowra, Canowindra, Manildra, Orange and Molong, met in Forbes to contest the women's singles over three days.
Burton met Cowra's Judith Day in her first game of the knockout competition, and progressed with a solid win.
The bowling club was under Tuesday evening's downpour and players competed on very heavy greens.
Burton met fellow Forbes club member Annette Tisdell, and then Canowindra's Deanna Noble on Wednesday, qualifying through to the finals against Parkes' Maree Grant.
Freshly cut and rolled greens provided a beautiful playing surface for the final, Burton said.
The local shot out to an early lead and kept the pressure on throughout, securing the win 25-6.
Burton paid tribute to her opponent.
"It just wasn't her day," she said.
The two will now team up with another Forbes bowler, Melissa Wilson, as they head to Sydney at the end of the month for the Summer League play off.
The three have qualified for the State finals of the triples competition, which starts on February 28 at Bankstown.
