Many new faces are needed to volunteer, to keep netball operating in the Forbes community.
Positions are declared vacant, and the 2020 committee will be elected at the AGM.
A quorum needs to be in attendance, for the AGM to be held, and all members are urged to come along.
The committee will be looking for many new faces to fill the extra roles that have been created, to share around the volunteering hours.
Many hands make light work.
A General Meeting will be held immediately after the AGM, where sub-committees will be elected and 2020 dates finalised.
Anyone with ideas on anything connected to FNA will be very welcome.
This is members chance to have a say in the running of the association.
A calendar will be finalised, and made available for all members.
Autumn night competitions 2020
The format for the Autumn night competitions for both mixed and ladies teams will be set at the General Meeting on Thursday.
Team nomination forms can be downloaded from the FNA website, with the first grading to be held Wednesday night February 26.
Teams need to have their team entries in by the AGM, to be able to play the following week.
Ladies may play in both mixed and ladies teams, on the same night.
Everyone is urged to come along and enjoy the fun of the night competitions.
NetSetGo and Saturday Junior Mixed netball 2020
The FNA is now registered for a NetSetGo Centre.
Anyone with children from five years up should start to register for the program.
Saturday Junior Mixed Netball will be played for players under 15, and anyone with ideas on the format of the competition is very welcome to attend.
The Active Kids Voucher will be able to be used again for the registration of players attending school.
The Primary Schools Netball Gala day will be held on Monday, March 9, and anyone who can help on the day is very welcome.
A huge thank you must go to Sonia Dukes from Forbes Public, for volunteering again to organise the huge day of fun netball for primary school children.
Forbes All Age Carnival
The Forbes All Age carnival will be held on Sunday, May 3.
This carnival has been operating since the association was formed in 1975, and, according to past teams, is one of the best organised carnival in the region.
Age groups are from 11 years to open ladies.
Many extra helpers will be again needed to help make the huge day another great success.
Forbes Gala Day 2020
Last year the committee organised a Gala Day for all players from NetSetGo teams to under 15, and is not open to representative teams.
The day was extremely popular, and will again be held in 2020, bigger and better.
A date in August will be finalised at the February meeting.
Forbes representatives 2020
The FNA has entered the Open representative team in the West/Central West Regional League Division 2.
The team is training weekly, and has improved since the first training.
The team will play the first round of games in Orange on March 1.
A date for the Representative Information Day will be finalised at the meeting on Thursday night.
Players turning 12, 13, 14, 15 and under 17 will need to apply for their respective age groups.
Players must be turning that age in 2020.
Representative application forms are available on the FNA website.
