The district has been treated to some spectacular light shows in the sky, but few have been under any rainfall.
After several quite humid days, temperatures peaking at 35.2 degrees on Tuesday afternoon, storms broke across the region.
We did hear of one property in the Garema area that was under 70mm of rain in the squall, it came with wild winds that felled trees.
Eugowra had a shower of rain - behind the dust storm - and there was a fall at Tichborne as well.
Canowindra was under the storm at its fiercest, with reports of high winds and hail.
The storms ushered in some cooler weather, the wind shifting from the north /north east to the south west and a top temperature of just 25 degrees on Wednesday.
After nearly two weeks of stormy weather the forecast for the coming week looks more stable, with very little chance of rain and temperatures forecast to reach a fairly balmy 30 degrees and rising next week.
