We decided back in November to trial February and March meetings to commence at 9.30am because of the heat and Thursday was very mild but nice.
We were very busy at the end of last year with our Morning Tea on November 20 to welcome the new younger ladies in our district.
Three members attended the CWA Oxley Group Council meeting in Condobolin on November 26, one very dusty day.
We all enjoyed a very happy branch Christmas Party at the Bogan Gate Hotel on December 12, we were very pleased to be able to surprise one of our members, Hilda McPherson with Life Membership, very well deserved.
Marion attended the Bogan Gate School's Presentation Night in December.
We have sent flowers to Ida McIntyre who is unfortunately in hospital, we all wish her well.
A very pleasant surprise at our meeting, was a visit from John and Sue Rogers from the Central Coast Freemasons.
We were overwhelmed with a very generous donation of $10,000 to our Bogan Gate Community.
John and Sue were very pleased to be able to meet some of our members and find out about Bogan Gate and the drought, its effects on our local farmers and our small community and now all the welcome rain.
It was very interesting talking to them to hear about the fires and all the smoke in their area recently while we all enjoyed a cuppa and a delicious morning tea.
