At the sale held on Monday, May 18 the offering comprised 399 cattle, a jump of 53 compared to last Monday's sale.
Quality was mixed.
There were some handy lines of grain assisted finished cattle on offer along with the plainer types.
Most of the usual buyers were present and competing in a firm to slightly dearer market.
Yearling steers to feed sold from 379c to 420c/kg.
The finished lines to processors received from 354c to 438c/kg. Restockers were active on the lighter store types paying from 380c to 473c and up to 508c/kg for vealers.
Yearling heifers to processors ranged in price from 330c to 424c while those to feed sold from 348c to 386c/kg.
Restockers paid from 385c to 498c/kg for the light store types. Heavy steers and bullocks were limited and reached 363c/kg.
Grown heifers sold from 292c to 332c/kg. Cows were 5c to 6c better with heavy 3 scores selling from 296c to 315c and 2 scores from 260c to 290c/kg.
Restockers paid from 270c to 323c/kg for the store types. The best heavy bull reached 312c/kg.
