With restrictions relating to COVID-19 easing, the Boys to the Bush program wasted little time getting back to the basics at their regular camp.

The Boys To The Bush program saw 32 boys take advantage of the good weather across three camps including Forbes, Howlong and Lake Cargelligo.
Camp coordinator Jared DeMamiel said they were fully booked with kids wanting to take part and get back to nature.
The four day camp in Forbes saw the participants explore the saleyards guided by Tim 'Mouse' Mackay, as well as going horse riding out near Nangar.
"What we do is quite simple, it's surrounding the boys with good people and positive role models," Mr DeMamiel said.
Along with running the camp, the Boys to the Bush staff and volunteers will be running a mentoring program which aims to get disengaged boys involved in community activities and pick up valuable life skills.
This mentoring program will be made easier with the help of a new headquarters being set up at the site of the old Aussie Biscuits building.
"It's going to be a great link for the kids to come in here because some of these kids don't have a connection with sporting clubs or struggling to go to school. So this is a place for they youth that they can utilise," Mr DeMamiel said.
Mr DeMamiel said if people want to talk about the Boys to the Bush program or want to donate their time or experience to come down to the office on weekdays between 9am and 5pm.
If no staff are onsite, Mr DeMamiel said they will likely be out working with the kids but you can still get in touch via email at info@boystothebush.org.au or call him on 0417219120.
