After having a bye last weekend, the Platypi are keen and raring to go according to first grade coach Phil Prior.
Although they did miss a week of match fitness with the bye, Mr Prior said they've spent the last two weeks working on their set pieces and game fitness.
It will be business as usual for the Platypi even though the first grade will not have Jack Hammond in their midst this weekend.
Mr Prior said it's comforting to know they have good numbers in the squad that can step up.
With a shorter season everyone is looking to be in the top four when the finals come around.
Due to everyone aiming to be in the top four Mr Prior expects the Bulldogs and other teams will be at their best.
At the end of the first round, all four Platypi squads are sitting in the top four and Mr Prior intends for them to maintain their position.
