After putting up with a very rough gravelly asphalt court for many years - and then watching the construction of this one for the last three months - it was a momentous occasion to be able to step on the new blue and green surface.
The development of the project was made possible through the Capital Works Program of the Catholic Education Office Bathurst, the generosity of Moxey Farms, project managers Quentin Moxey and Sean Haynes, Matt B Concreting and L-Don Sport Areas.
St Joseph's School and St Joseph's Parents & Friends Association also contributed to the project.
The court has three different line markings on it for tennis, basketball, and netball along with basketball/netball goals and a tennis net.
It is a wonderful asset for the school and will be well utilised by many generations to come.
LITTLE JOEYS TRANSITION
Next Wednesday 5th August we will commence a Little Joeys Transition program for those preschool age children who are getting ready for Kindergarten in 2021.
This program will be held every Wednesday for the remainder of Term 3 from 11.30 - 2.00pm.
This is an informal program to assist the little ones in becoming familiar with 'big school' and the routines of school life, interacting with the older children and using the playground and classroom facilities. Please contact the Principal, Cathy Eppelstun should you wish your child to join in Little Joeys.
