Weatherzone expects the temperature to drop to its lowest so far this year shortly after 6am Wednesday, just before sunrise.
And although the day is expected to be a sunny one, it might only reach a top of 11 degrees.
There'll be a light breeze in the west to southwest all day.
There's a chance Thursday morning could be even colder, with Weatherzone anticipating a low of -5 degrees.
A sunny day with a top temperature of 12 degrees should follow but the breeze, although light, will be in the south east.
The cold front will be followed by another couple of wet days, Weatherzone is tipping.
They're giving Forbes a 90 per cent chance of rain on Friday, expecting 10 to 20 mm with another 5 to 10 possible on Saturday.
