Members of the community joined Yoorana Gunya, Binaal Billa at the Forbes Wiradjuri Dreaming Centre last Thursday for their event 'Sock it to Suicide'.

The event was designed to bring people together and encouraging them to wear bright coloured socks or stockings to raise awareness about suicide and support suicide prevention.
Thursday, September 10, marked World Suicide Prevention Day and groups gathered at the Wiradjuri Dreaming Centre for a free sausage sizzle and a walk around the lake.
Yoorana Gunya's Taylor Bliss said they will be running a variety of cultural activities in conjunction with Binaal Billa at the Wiradjuri Dreaming Centre in the coming weeks and months.
Ms Bliss said to keep an eye on Yoorana Gunya Family Healing Centre Aboriginal Corporation Facebook page or website to keep informed of any upcoming events.
Next up, the Walk 'n' Talk For Life is on Tuesday 29th September starting at Lions Park.
The event begins at 9.30am and there's a free sausage sizzle and shirts available for those who participate in the walk.
