Attendance numbers had to be kept below 500 as per the current COVID-19 regulations, but Forbes Jockey Club was delighted to have tickets available for general sale and those pre-sale tickets were snapped up days in advance.
Those who did secure a spot were treated to a great day out and there was plenty of space for everyone.
"It was excellent," Forbes Jockey Club secretary Harvey Elliott said.
"The weather was absolutely magnificent and our racecourse at the moment is immaculate.
"The track - I've never seen it so good - Tom Molloy has done a terrific job."
Traditional Fashions on the Field was not held under the circumstances, but racegoers had certainly embraced the chance to don their Spring fashions as the afternoon temperature peaked at a balmy 26.8 degrees.
Judges selected a best-dressed lady and gentleman from the crowd, the honours going to Renae Herbert and Harry Terry who are pictured left, and they received some gorgeous prizes.
Mr Elliott said the racing numbers were smaller for the five-race picnic program, but the social atmosphere of the day was "brilliant".
"We've only had good reports back," he said on Monday.
The Forbes Jockey Club has secured a race meeting for January 2 - that will be a TAB meeting - and looks forward to welcoming fans back to the course in the new year.
