President Dianne Decker AM says the committee is fielding lots of calls and questions about progress.
The committee now has the plans, developed in consultation over the past months, to modernise the facilities.
Mrs Decker says the plans will give more room to move around the sides of the pool, new changerooms and bathroom facilities.
"There will be a new roof and ventilation system, and roller doors to allow floodwater through when it does flood," Mrs Decker said.
One of the big changes, Mrs Decker says, is that there will be a new main entrance, and it will be on the other side of the building.
Car parking will eventually be on the park side of the facility rather than the laneway.
The pool is used by some 700 members a month, and Mrs Decker is keen they know that improvements are on the way.
It's now more than 50 years since the pool was built with funds raised by the community.
The Crown Lands grant was sought by Forbes Shire Council, with $550,000 in funding announced by MP Paul Toole last November.
Works are to be tendered through the Forbes Shire Council portal, and the committee encourages local tradespeople to register with the council's e-tendering portal.
"It's the community's pool and I want it to continue as the community's pool," Mrs Decker said.
For more information go to forbes.nsw.gov.au and look at the tenders section under the "council" tab.
The committee assures members their keys remain active, the pool remains open and no member will be disadvantage.
Membership renewals will not be till 2021, members will be contacted in the new year with more information.
The heated pool has also received amazing community support from the Jemalong Aged People's Association and Lach Haven. Both organisations wound up their operations in the past two years and contributed funds towards improving the pool's accessibility and facilities.
A lift to assist people with mobility issues into the pool is also part of the plans.
