Just under 70 riders competed across the two days of ranch sorting at the Forbes Showground's Pony Club sand arena.
Forbes Sorting and Penning's Melissa West said they had a pretty good turnout considering the time of the year.
Melissa said they had a variety of good quality riders from around the region and state travel to compete in the two day event.
The Handicap 4 class was well represented by local riders, with Forbes locals taking out the top four placings.
Melissa said they would like to thank Kevin Miller and his family for supplying the cattle for the event.
They would also like to thank the Frazer family for supplying the hay for the cattle and the Moxey family for supplying the lucerne which was awarded as part of the prizes.
Melissa said they want to extend their thanks to the helpers and volunteers who helped make the weekend run so smoothly.
Forbes Sorting and Penning Inc. are looking forward to next year with events planned for March, June and September.
Melissa said they are also looking at hosting a clinic for riders of all abilities early next year.
