David Bernardi, Bede Tooth and John Ridley are getting behind the wheel of the Bernardi family's V8 '67 Holden Station Wagon for Beyond Blue's event Beyond Bitumen fund raiser Car Rally.
John Bernardi said the event is a bit of fun raising money to help support Beyond Blue.
The Beyond Bitumen fund raiser Car Rally takes off from Goulburn today. The drivers will spend the weekend travelling around, finishing at Tumbarumba on Monday.
The Beyond Bitumen rally will take the drivers through Goulburn, Braidwood, Nimmitabel, Dalgety, Jindabyne, Canberra, Tumut, Wagga Wagga, Wantabadgery, Coolamon, Narranderam, Lockhart, Walla Walla and Albury.
As of Thursday, the three drivers had raised $10,451.75 for Beyond Blue.
Mr Bernardi said there have been a lot of generous people around Forbes who have contributed.
John Ridley said they decided to get on board with the rally because it's a good cause.
"Mental health has been a difficult thing to maintain in Western NSW with the drought and and now with Covid," he said.
Mr Ridley said they have been well supported by members of the Bernardi family and the Forbes community.
