While it's a month away, one of the best little race meetings in the west is already shaping up to be a great day on the track.

The Bedgerabong Picnic Races make their return to Bedgerabong Race Course on Saturday, February 13.

Featuring a six race program, gates open from 11.00am, with the first race starting at 1:30pm. Entry is $20 per adult with free entry for under 15s, although there will be no tickets available on the day.

Committee President Nathan Clarke said they have moved to electronic ticketing this year to help them keep track of numbers to follow covid regulations.

In a Facebook post, the Bedgerabong Picnic Race Club Committee said they have seen an outstanding response and interest from the public, they have released more tickets.

Mr Clarke said they are more than pleased with the amount of people who have bought tickets for the picnic races.

Along with all of the action on the track, there will be plenty off-track action including the Fashions on the Field, footraces on the track as well as live music by Josh Maynard after the races. There will be a jumping castle all day for the kids as well.

Fashions on the Field will be judged by Melissa Gaffney from Blush Organic Beauty and Blake Weekes.

You can enter on the day, just listen out for the call to judging which usually comes after the second race. Final judging and the presentation will be held after Race 3.

The awards for the Fashions on the Field include:
