New conductor Hannah Nixon says she's looking forward to welcoming people to band after a tough 2020 where rehearsals and performances were cancelled.
Hannah has been playing music all her life, and joined the Town Band in 2000 to play euphonium and trombone.
She says anyone from age 10, with any level of musical knowledge, is welcome.
What can you expect? To learn music and feel a part of a musical family.
"I'm looking forward to getting into the community and showing Forbes that we are still here and new members are always welcome," she said.
"I'm looking forward to watching the band grow in numbers as well as individual musicians' growth."
Monday night's rehearsal starts at 7pm and there will be a break for light supper and a chat with visitors at 7.30pm. The Band Hall is in Rankin Street (opposite Jelbart's). The band does have a COVID-safe plan.
