The southern side, which defeated Bogan Gate in Parkes to claim the historic cup last month, is something of an unknown opponent for Forbes but your correspondent feels Forbes has a strong side.
Jayme Sherritt leads the team of Stu Robbins, Adam Hall, Jamie Hoswell, Mitch Bayley, Mark Simmonds, Peter Webb, Mark Coombs, Toby Hurford, John Moss, Cooper Martin and Daniel Sweeney.
The side boasts a mix of age and experience, but even the younger team members have played their share of cricket.
It's an ideal opportunity - your correspondent believes - for this bushranger town to swoop in and steal the cup in the final challenge of this season.
It's been 100 years since the establishment of the Grinsted Cup and the milestone year saw Bogan Gate sign up and win the Cup from a traditionally dominant Parkes side.
Men's cricket
This Saturday sees the final round of games in what has been a men's senior competition very disrupted by wet weather.
Globe, with two premierships to their name, have established a solid lead on the competition ladder ahead of the Golfie Tigers and Trundle Young Ducks.
VC Reid sits in fourth and Trundle fifth, with Postie rounding out the ladder.
It's first v sixth this weekend, Globe and Postie meeting at Grinsted.
The Tigers are travelling to Trundle to take on Trundle, but the game of the round is expected to be VC Reid v Trundle Young Ducks at South Circle.
Games start 1pm Saturday.
