The local RDA Branch is returning from a year-long recess of activities and is looking for any interested locals to get on board as volunteers or committee members.
Forbes Riding for the Disabled member Kylie Ryan said the Forbes community have been very supportive of them in the past few years, contributing time and donations.
Mrs Ryan said the committee would like to keep the branch going to support locals with disabilities.
RDA is a volunteer organisation providing equine assisted activities for people with disabilities to develop and enhance abilities.
The Forbes RDA Branch will be hosting an information evening on Wednesday, May 5 at Club Forbes.
The information evening will begin at 6pm, with the committee providing information about what the Forbes RDA Branch does locally and how people can help.
This will be followed by the branch's annual general meeting at 6:30pm with all committee positions open.
Mrs Ryan urges people to put their hands up to help out as without a committee there will be no RDA Forbes Branch going forward.
As the branch works with horses, Mrs Ryan said they are encouraging anyone with experience working with horses to come along and help out.
RDA has been offering children with a range of disabilities the opportunity to learn to ride and work with the horses for a number of years now, the steering committee first formed in 2013.
