While the 2021 Sydney Royal Easter Show may have wrapped up at the end of April, Red Bend Catholic College's Cattle Team have still been pretty excited about their success in the Cattle Show.

The cattle team won grand champion carcase with their heavyweight Limousin steer, Boots.
Bred by the L and C Kirk, the overall top carcase scored 94.5 points out of a possible 100. On the hoof it placed highly commended, but it couldn't be beat on the hook. It also received a silver medal.
Several of the College's other cattle also found success in the carcase competition including: Monkey, received 4th in school steers overall; Jaffa - 2nd in class and Bronze medal; and Caramello - 3rd in Trade steers and Bronze medal.
Their steers success helped the school win equal Most Successful school with Wellington High School.
Cattle Team Coordinator Susan Earl said everyone was excited to have such great results at the show.
Mrs Earl said it was great to finally come home with winning the grand champion carcase as they have been a point or less away from claiming it at the last three shows.
The Advocate spoke to several students on the cattle team about their experience at the Sydney Royal.
Alex Davis said the Sydney Royal was very good and was quite a fun environment to work in.
Mr Davis said the team worked well together during the Show.
Angus Pursehouse said the show was a good experience both working with the steers and hanging out with the cattle team.
Lachlan Haynes said that he was excited to take part in his first Sydney Royal with the team.
Mr Haynes said the environment was very easy-going and efficient made easier by the team.
Alison Reeves mentioned the Sydney Royal was very fun and they were able to be professional when working with the cattle.
Ms Reeves said it was nice to see the results of the hard work they put in with the animals.

Mrs Earl said the cattle team had many people they would like to thank for their support over the last few months.
Mrs Earl said they would like to thank the breeders which the team got the steers from including L and C Kirk, Mt Pleasant Limousins, Rory Graham, Loclani Stud and Roger Evans.
Along with thanking the local breeders, Mrs Earl said they would like to thank the Moxey family, MSM Milling and Advanced Animal Nutrition for their support as well as local organisations including KMWL, Forbes Livestock, Langlands Hanlon and Forbes/Parkes Toyota.
Red Bend Catholic College's cattle team have begun preparing for the Dubbo Show where they will be taking 12 stud cattle and two steers.
Mrs Earl said they will be taking 13 members of the cattle team along with the cattle to the show which takes place from May 14-16.
