This was part of a three-day tour of the Central West for the Waratahs with players and club members visiting 17 clubs and two schools.
The towns the Waratah's were set to visit included Narromine, Dubbo, Cowra, Young, Orange, Molong and Bathurst.
Waratahs players Jack Dempsey, Dave Porecki and Christian Jensen, as well as Waratahs Assistant Coach Matt Cockbain and NSW Rugby General Manager of Community Mark Green came down to both the junior and senior Platypi training sessions.
Waratahs Assistant Coach Matt Cockbain said the visit was a good opportunity to connect with fans they usually don't connect with and a good change for Waratahs players who live in the city.
During their visit, the Waratahs offered advice and training tips to members of the junior and senior Platypi squads.
NSW Rugby' Mark Green said a major aim part of joining the training session was to supplement local coaches and help with advice and pass on some of the skills and techniques they have learned.
Mr Cockbain said this visit is also a good way to for the Waratahs to work on team bonding and get involved in cultural engagement.
Mr Cockbain said it was good to see rugby doing so well in the Central West.
