Forbes is well represented by many talented rugby players in Central West Rugby's junior sides for the 2021 season. Players have been selected to join the Central West under 12s, 13s, 14s and 15s boys squads and the under 16s girls squad.

Leroy McNamara, Thompson Hurford, Teddy Mundy and Lachlan Wallace were for the under 12s squad. Lachlan Rice, Jai Wheeldon, George Field and Angus Irvine were selected for the under 13s squad. Unfortunately an injury ruled out Angus from playing.
Oliver Walker, Zac Fraser and William Moxey were selected for the under 14s squad, however an injury Will Moxey ruled him out from playing. James Burton and Geordie Duncan were selected for the under 15s squad and Alice Mattiske was selected for under 16s girls squad.
Forbes Junior Rugby Club President Craig Bruem said the club is very lucky to have so many talented players with coaches and volunteers to support them.
The Central West Junior Rugby squads performed well at the 2021 NSW Country Championships. The under 12s, 13s and 14s squads competed at Nelson Bay on May 15-16, while the under 15s squad played at Armidale on May 8-9. The under 16s girls squad competed in the Country Championships at Kiama on May 1-2 where they claimed second place.
The under 12s squad claimed third place, while both the under 13s and under 14 squads claimed fourth place in their age groups and the under 15s came in second place.
The squads are now preparing for the NSW State Championships set for the June long weekend.
