The annual event is back and bigger than ever, welcoming Costa Georgiadis of Gardening Australia, and the band of local volunteers has put together a great day for families.
There'll be markets, food and entertainment, and of course a chance to be part of the fun.
You can dress the kids as their favourite garden gnome, and cast your vote for your favourite scarecrow in this year's competition.
On Saturday, gates open at 9am and we've been asked to book free tickets online through stickytickets.com.au in advance under the event's COVID-safe plan.
Parking and entry for the day are from the back of the site, drivers should go down College Road and follow the signs.
Pre-school aged children are being encouraged to dress up as a garden gnome and be part of the gnome parade to tunes played by the Forbes Town and District Band at 11am, the winners of the colouring competition will be immediately afterwards.
The Lions Club will be on parking duty, Rotary helping with sign-in, and Forbes Men's Shed will be on barbecue duty for those looking for something to eat.
The Community Gardens team will have morning tea for sale and there will be a coffee van.
There'll also be market stalls, with special additions this year of face painting and local "snake man" Boo Newcombe.
You might like to be prepared to pick up plants for your own garden or fresh produce from the Community Gardens as well!
The Gardens committee also has a very special announcement to make: they raffled two tickets to Landcare's dinner with Costa as special guest, and the winner of those tickets has actually donated them to a local who was particularly eager to be there.
Di Golding couldn't be more grateful to raffle winner Kristy Harvey, who's given her the opportunity to attend along with Meryl Morris.
Di's father managed the site that's now home to the Community Gardens back when it was the Forestry nursery. She has been a member of the gardens since its inception and now drives membership and participation in the gardens through JRV.
"It's just so lovely to know that there are kind, loving and thoughtful people out there," she said of Kristy's generous offer of the tickets.
