The clinic will offer the AstraZeneca vaccine to all people aged 50 and over. The AstraZeneca vaccine requires a second shot 12 weeks after the first.
The Pfizer vaccine will be offered to:
- People aged 40-49 years
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people between the ages of 16 and 49.
The Pfizer vaccine requires a second shot three weeks after the first.
The walk in clinic will be running from 10am to 4pm at the Youth Centre at 1 Battye Street, Forbes
No appointment is required. People attending must bring a form of personal identification and their Medicare card.
People who have had a test for COVID-19 must not attend the vaccination clinic until they have received a negative result.
Anyone who is unwell will not be able to receive a vaccine. There must be at least seven days between receiving any other vaccine, including the flu vaccine, and receiving a COVID-19 vaccination shot.
