The program changed so schools could attend one at a time and present all their performances to make the 2021 Forbes Eisteddfod as safe as possible after news a positive COVID case stopped in Forbes last week.
Eisteddfod committee member Karyn Glennan thanked all the schools and families for their understanding and cooperation with the last-minute changes.
Adjudicator Troy Castle is also very deserving of thanks for his adaptability to the changing situation.
There are some sections he will only be able to adjudicate once all the schools have performed, but he was giving each school feedback on their performances.
The eisteddfod continues Friday with more schools attending, one at a time.
From Friday afternoon through the weekend, the committee is hoping to be able to run as per the program.
The speech and drama is Friday evening, vocal on Saturday and piano on Saturday and these are predominantly solo performances with plenty of space in the hall for social distancing.
Anyone with COVID-19 symptoms or who attended the locations highlighted by NSW Health is being urged to head to Forbes Showground on Friday to get tested and isolate until you receive a negative result.
Those attending Forbes Eisteddfod are asked to sign in, maintain social distancing and use the hand sanitiser provided.
